Started at 7. It was a fine day and easy to walk. I was happy. Walked with a girl from Canada who was carrying a 17 kg backpack and walking in thongs. Geez. She hardly drank any water and did not seem to be in good health. I suggested that she could try my shoes or sandals, but she refused. She had a huge blood blister when we arrived at our destination. She wanted to take the bus to Leon, but there were no seats available so she hitchhiked instead. I took a siesta in the shade at Plaza Sta Maria.
I was happy to read it was so long to Santiago!
