Bilbao

I left at half past seven. It went up and down today too. In addition, a lot of mud and a cold wind. A tough stage. The Dane I met earlier slipped when he was walking downhill and got all muddy. I was really tired when I arrived.

As I looked for a refugio, a man waved at me. He looked like a hiker so I asked him if he knew if there was an albergue nearby. He knew that. I asked if he stayed there. No, he was on his way home to Sweden. He was quite surprised when I switched to Swedish.

He followed me to the refugio. We talked about where we lived and where we worked. When I told him where I worked, he asked if the name Gxxx was familiar.

– Yes, he was my boss! It was quite fun.

You are not allowed to wash clothes by hand at the albergue! I’ll have them one more day.

Went out to eat. Did not meet any pilgrims. Sadly, I don’t think I will met Santi and Marietha again.

The two Koreans I saw earlier are here.
