June 23 – to Burgos

It started with pouring rain, which was nice! I walked fast and that’s the day I started singing to myself while walking. It rained until Burgos.

There are a lot of quiet villages with many ruins along the Camino, but they also build a lot of new buildings. I realized that I have to go all the way, be here and now, and not take shortcuts. In the afternoon, we said goodbye to Livio and Manu.

Later on, we went out to eat tapas and said goodbye to Lily, Linda, Iris, Carlos, and Mark. It was the last night with my friends. I will miss them. I went to bed late.

A funny thing on the camino. You always meet somewhere, without deciding. I love it.
