I was worried about today’s stage, it would be difficult. We slept until 8:15 am! Didn’t sleep well last night either.
Breakfast in a bar and on the road at 9:15 am. Paula would take a taxi, she was worried about the steeps the path would follow.
It turned out to be the easiest stage so far. It did go up to almost 1000 m above sea level, but it was relatively easy going up. The wind was cold, I had to put on all my clothes.
Beautiful rock formations. When you arrive at a pass and go down to Antequera, it is amazingly beautiful. The way down was not as fun. It was quite wide, so the steepness wasn’t too scary, but it was rocky and quite difficult to walk. It quickly went down to about 500 m.
Had lunch at the bottom. Then 4km to the city. The albergue is not so good. Shower and laundry. Walking back downtown, I found Paula having lunch on a terrace. We went back to the albergue where she installed herself.
We went back to town and had a drink. Han came by He has checked into a hotel.
A man from the Netherlands came to the albergue.
It rained all evening. Went to eat diner with Paula.
