To Vadstena

To Vadstena.

It had been raining all night. I woke up early and waited for a while in the tent, cooked some coffee, but the rain didn’t stop, so I packed up and left, heading to Vadstena.

The grass was high, and my trousers and shoes were wet after just 500 meters. It was impossible to find the way-marks, and I started the day by getting lost. There was a stream I had to cross, but where? The riverbank was high, and I slid down in the mud. I had to go back and try to find the path again. I lost my way again and ended up down the riverbank, getting even more wet.

It just kept pouring down. I rested for a while in Skänninge and walked on the asphalt, which was not fun with wet shoes. I was tired, and there was nowhere to sit. I don’t understand why I didn’t sit on the grass or somewhere else since I was already wet.

I arrived at Vadstena quite early and called home to check the weather forecast for the next few days. Unfortunately, it was supposed to be rainy, rainy, and rainy. Since I was still rather close to home, I broke.
