It was a dull day. Nothing special happened, I just wanted to reach Astorga. Astorga is a nice town with a fine central square, which if I remember correctly, is not called Plazza Mayor. Like in Leon, there is a house designed by Gaudi, but it’s not as nice.
In the evening, Emilie and Marie invited me for a glass of wine. They are stopping here tonight and plan to walk the remaining stages next year. When I returned to the albergue later that evening, I saw the cathedral in the evening light. It was very beautiful, with a stunning facade.
