I took the wrong road and ended up following a highway, and had to walk on concrete. It was not enjoyable at all. I met Delphine where the path began to rise towards O Cebreiro. She stayed in La Faba. Later, I met Alex, Sara, and Jeff.
O Cebreiro is a touristy place, with maybe five restaurants, a small supermarket, and a souvenir shop. The small church was nice and simple, something unusual along the Camino. The view was amazing as it is a pass, providing a view from all sides. The wind was cold, and I felt frozen.
At a restaurant, there was a man playing classical guitar, which was wonderful. I sat with Sara, Alex, and Jeff, and it was nice. We had dinner there. They mostly spoke Spanish, but I understood most of it.
Which way?
On the way to Ocebrero, a hill.
Rucksaks.
To O Cebreiro. It’s going up again.
Delphine and Marcel, La Faba
Delphine and Marcel, La Faba. Marcel, from Germany, has been living in Spain 20 years. At his place, you can sleep in a tipi and get massage.
Looking back at La Faba.
Jeff, enjoying the scenery in O Cebreiro.
The dog trust us. Somebody uses a scarf as a lead.
Alex, Sara and Jeff. O Cebreiro is a place for tourists, but I like it. Alex and Jef are drinking Pacharán (Patxaran in Basque), a liqueur that is originally made from the blackthorn or sloe berries that grow wild in Navarra.
After dinner came the frog.
It was chilly!
