June 30 – to Leon

I started at 6 when it was still dark. It was hard to sleep with the Spaniards celebrating St. Pedro and dancing all night. There was a tivoli outside. When I left, the frogs were singing in a pond outside the village.

I walked 35 km and was pretty tired when I arrived in Leon. I walked downtown, visited the cathedral, and the old town. I met Sophie, whom I previously met in Belorado. We spent the rest of the day together. She still had problems with her feet and decided to take the bus. I slept well for the first time in a long time.

On the way to Leon. My shadow.
Long shadow in the morning.

A village. I forgot the name.
