To Zeven

The sky was blue when I woke up, but my tent was wet when I packed it. I froze last night but was able to walk without a fleece in the morning. The stage was quite boring, but the scenery was nice.

I am now on the Via Baltica, having left the Via Jutlandica. This route seems to be better marked. Along the way, I saw a stone that marked different pilgrimages. One of them caught my interest, which was the Reykjavik-Rome road. I am not sure which part was more difficult, sailing to Denmark or walking to Rome.

Europe now feels under my feet, and it’s a nice feeling. The continent takes on a new dimension. I have a new appreciation for Germany, and I will likely not forget these little towns and villages.

In two days, I will be in Bremen. It feels like my “reluctant” start was so far away.

I hope the next night will be warmer.
